Sowerby Cycles Team

There has been a Sowerby Cycles (originally Sowerby Brothers Cycles) Race Team since 1997. These days, despite one or two of our riders still actively racing, the team has become more of a promotional vehicle, where friendships have been made and continue to strenghten.

The team has acted as a stepping stone for many youth riders, some of whom have then gone on to achieve National Honours and have then secured Elite contracts. Most of those riders have remained strong friends, and regularly visit for a coffee and a chat in our Cafe. The team is affiliated to British Cycling and Cycle Time Trials.

Aside from the road team, we also have a thriving Mountain Bike scene here at Sowerby Cycles, offering both sponsorship to Henry Stephenson (Orange MTB) and also Monday evening 'shop rides'. These rides have become a caravan for bike testing, skills development and general fun and laughs, with the emphasis always being on creating solid friendships.
